|The COL5A2 col5a2 (Catalog #MBS230111) is a Purified Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The NATIVE HUMAN COLLAGEN V reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s COLLAGEN V can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COL5A2 col5a2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The COL5A2 col5a2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #89363017) (NCBI Accession #NP_000384.2) (Uniprot Accession #P05997). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Preparation: Purified by acetic acid extraction after pepsin treatment followed by serial salt precipitations and ion-exchange chromatography. Purity and retention of native helical structure was controlled by SDS-PAGE, ORD measurements and by reaction with anti-collagen type specific monoclonal antibodies.
Preservative Stabilizers: None present.
Reconstitution: Use 0.1 M acetic acid, pH 3.0. The dissolved collagen retains immunogenic properties. Thermal denaturation (5 min at 100 degree C) converts dissolved collagen to gelatin.
Buffer Solution: Essentially salt free. Cardiovascular Diseases, Congenital Abnormalities, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type 1, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type 2, Female Urogenital Diseases, Fibrosis, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Muscular Diseases, Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to NATIVE HUMAN COLLAGEN V. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Bone, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Kidney, Muscle, Skin, Uterus, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. COL5A2 also interacts with the following gene(s): BMP1, COL5A3, DCN, THBS1.
