The IL3 il3 (Catalog #MBS650633) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL3 il3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #28416915) (NCBI Accession #NP_000579.2) (Uniprot Accession #P08700). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful. The amino acid sequence is listed below:
The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Asp-Th r-His-Arg.

Our knowledge of the role of proteins in cellular processes is continually evolving. Most proteins, including Interleukin 3 are typically involved in one or more signaling pathways or biological processes. Professionally manufactured recombinant proteins are increasingly becoming essential and commonplace tools for elucidating new knowledge about the role of proteins in both health and disease.
Biological Activity: Murine IL-3 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of murine M-NFS-60 cells is < 0.05 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 2 x 107 IU/mg. Protein Content: Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:
1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm using the absorbency value of 0.154 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENE computer analysis program of protein sequences (IntelliGenetics).
2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of Murine IL-3 as a Reference Standard. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone Marrow Diseases, Drug Toxicity, Hematologic Diseases, Hypersensitivity, Leukemia, Leukemia, Myeloid, Leukemia, Myeloid, Acute, Lung Diseases, Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to Interleukin 3, Recombinant, Mouse (IL-3). IL3 also interacts with the following gene(s): CSF2RB, HRAS, IL3RA, PIK3CA, PIK3CD. Mixed tissues are correlated with this protein.
