The IL7 n/a (Catalog #MBS5304595) is an Active Protein produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s IL7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).FC: 5 ul (0.5 ug)/test
A test is defined as the amount (ug)/test of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL7 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Our knowledge of the role of proteins in cellular processes is continually evolving. Most proteins, including IL7 are typically involved in one or more signaling pathways or biological processes. Professionally manufactured recombinant proteins are increasingly becoming essential and commonplace tools for elucidating new knowledge about the role of proteins in both health and disease.
Protein Type: Recombinant
Biological Significance: Mouse IL-7, a pre-B cell growth factor, is an ~25 kDa factor produced by bone marrow and thymic stromal cells, and spleen cells. IL-7 is a stromal cell-derived growth factor for progenitor B cells and T cells. The main population in the thymus responsive to IL-7 is CD4-CD8-. It also stimulates proliferation and differentiation of mature T cells and NK cells.
Bioactivity: The ED50 of this protein, as measured by 2E8 cell proliferation assay, is less than or equal to 1.6 ng/ml.This corresponds to a specific activity of greater than or equal to 6.3 x 10e5 Units/mg.
Endotoxin Levels: Less than 0.01 ng/ug cytokine as determined by the LAL assay. Expression System: E Coli.
