The IL9 il9 (Catalog #MBS650054) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL9 il9 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #10834980) (NCBI Accession #NP_000581.1) (Uniprot Accession #P15248). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful. The amino acid sequence is listed below:
The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Gln-Gl y-Cys-Pro.

Our knowledge of the role of proteins in cellular processes is continually evolving. Most proteins, including Interleukin 9 are typically involved in one or more signaling pathways or biological processes. Professionally manufactured recombinant proteins are increasingly becoming essential and commonplace tools for elucidating new knowledge about the role of proteins in both health and disease.
Biological Activity: IL-9 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of human MO7e cells is < 0.2ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 5 x 10e6 IU/mg.
Dimers and Aggregates: 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.
Endotoxin Level: 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of hIL-9. Protein Content: Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:
1. UV spectroscopy at 280nm.
2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a calibrated solution of IL-9 as a Reference Standard.
Reconstitution: Reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin-9 in sterile ddH2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Asthma, Eye Diseases, Genetic Diseases, Inborn, Hypersensitivity, Inflammation, Lung Diseases, Neoplasms, Respiratory Hypersensitivity, Respiratory Tract Diseases, Skin Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Interleukin 9, Recombinant, Human (IL-9). Kidney tissues are correlated with this protein. IL9 also interacts with the following gene(s): IL9R, STAT5A. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
